Fashion Futures 2030
What is it?
Fashion Futures 2030 is a toolkit to explore possible fashion futures to encourage actions and incorporation of new sustainable agendas in fashion practices. The Toolkit “offers guided learning activities, supporting materials and downloadable worksheets for educators to bring future scenarios to life.”
Focus on creative thinking, the design process and practice.
The toolkit is co-created by researchers from the Centre for Sustainable Fashion, London College of Fashion, UAL, Forum for the Future and funded by the C & A foundation. Launched in 2019.
Platform overview
The platform “provides everything needed to plan and run a full day workshop, or to adapt, develop and deliver a short activity; conversely, it can be applied as a full module.”
The Four scenarios:
Scenario 1: Living with Less - NATURE-BASED AND GLOBALLY CONNECTED
Scenario 2: Hyper Hype - TECHNOLOGY PACED AND ECONOMICALLY STIMULATED
Scenario 3: Safty Race - REGIONALLY LOCATED AND CULTURALLY FRAGMENTED
Scenario 4: Chaos embrace - PEOPLE-CENTRED AND GOVERNANCE RE-INVENTED
